Edward Friedman is the firm’s managing partner. He received his B.A. degree from Pomona College in Claremont, California, and his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University Law School in Los Angeles. Mr. Friedman was admitted to practice in California in 1975.
Mr. Friedman’s practice emphasizes real estate and business transactional matters of all types. He has practiced real estate law for 30 years. In particular, Mr. Friedman spends a significant portion of his time representing developers of low-income housing, and investors in low-income housing. In connection with this practice, Mr. Friedman handles land acquisitions, preparation and negotiation of loan documents (including governmental loans, construction loans, and permanent loans), and preparation and negotiation of investment documents. In the course of this work, Mr. Friedman has handled transactions which exceed $500,000,000 in debt and equity financing.
Mr. Friedman also has extensive experience representing purchasers and owners of commercial and residential income properties, as well as assisting with the formation of corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies to hold title to such properties, and the preparation and analysis of leases for those properties.
